Isla was founded in France
France’s startup ecosystem has experienced a dynamic transformation over the past decade, emerging as a vibrant hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe.
The French government’s proactive initiatives, such as La French Tech, have propelled the growth of startups across various sectors including technology, healthcare, and green energy. Paris, often at the heart of this bustling scene, hosts numerous incubators and venture–capital/”>venture capital firms that fuel the ambitions of budding entrepreneurs. Notably, France has cultivated several unicorn startups—privately held startups valued at over $1 billion—such as BlaBlaCar, a long-distance carpooling service, and Veepee, an online flash sales retailer. These success stories underscore France’s growing reputation as a fertile ground for scalable and disruptive business models.
